How to make Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup:

  1. Gather your ingredients and supplies
  2. Warm and mix sugar, water, and vanilla bean on the stove
  3. Use a funnel to pour into a jar
  4. Let cool, then add to any drink for subtle sweetness

Here’s what you’ll need for your Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup:

Pour your water and sugar into your small sauce pan on low-medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Turn heat to very low, and add in your vanilla. Stir until combined. Vanilla bean specks will not fully dissolve, just be sure it’s all evenly incorporated.

Remove your pot (here’s ours) from heat, and use a funnel to transfer your syrup to your glass bottle or jar.

This recipe fills a 16oz glass bottle perfectly. Stick a label on your jar, and loosely cap it. Wait for it to cool before using, unless it’s going in a hot drink immediately, of course. You could easily add this to our very favorite Hot Chocolate instead of sugar & vanilla! Would be delicious in a warm mug of Earl Grey tea or Chai, too!

We repurposed this bottle from something else, but I’ve linked some similar options below.

This has become a pantry staple for us! It is so easy to make, has clean ingredients, and truly elevates any drink… some of our favorites are Vanilla Bean Lemonade, vanilla lattes, an iced version of our Nourishing Hot Chocolate, our very favorite Iced Mocha, matcha latte (especially iced), a chai latte, Earl Grey tea, and even homemade gummies (recipe coming soon)… basically anything you’d want a liquid sweetener for — this is the winner.

Enjoy!
